St. Paul's Cathedral

Christmas Eve – Choral Midnight Mass

December 24th, 2017 at St. Paul's Cathedral from 11:00 pm to 12:30 am

Please join us at 11pm on Christmas Eve as we celebrate the wonderful mystery of Christ’s birth on a most holy night radiant with the brilliance of God’s one true light.

The Cathedral Choir and members of St Paul’s Cathedral Brass will lead us in well-loved carols, and the Choir will sing the Mass setting "Festal Communion Service in Bb" by C.V. Stanford.  The motets during the Holy Eucharist will be William Byrd’ “Beata Viscera” and J. P. Sweelinck’s “Hodie Christus natus est.”

Rev. Michael Dekay will preside, and The Dean and Rector, Rev. Paul Millward, will preach at this service of Holy Eucharist.

God of God, light of light,
lo, he abhors not the virgin’s womb;
very God, begotten not created:
O come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord.
