Engaging Faith

July 22nd, 2021 at St. Paul's Cathedral - via Zoom from 10:00 am to 11:00 am

Engaging Faith - presents a film and discussion series on "The Bible and Literature" with, the late, Canadian literary critic, Northrop Frye.
Northrop Frye (1912-1991) was a university professor, a world famous literary scholar, an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada, and chancellor of Victoria College. In 1947, he began to teach a course in the Bible at Victoria College in the University of Toronto.

Frye famously demonstrated how the Bible has greatly affected the creative imagination and the philosophical thought of western culture. In our weekly Engaging Faith sessions we will be viewing a film series based on Northrop Frye’s lectures and seminars that were filmed in 1981. Frye’s understanding and work with the Bible continues to be very relevant and helpful today.

Please join Vicar Michael via Zoom on Thursdays @ 10:00am or 7:00pm

All are welcome!

These sessions will continue until Thursday, July 22.
