Linda Nicholls served as the 14th Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada from 2019 until her retirement in 2024, becoming the first woman to hold this role.
Throughout her ministry, Archbishop Nicholls has been known for her pastoral leadership, thoughtful engagement with contemporary issues, and deep commitment to reconciliation, justice, and the dignity of every person. Prior to her election as Primate, she served as Bishop of Huron and previously as a suffragan bishop in the Diocese of Toronto.
Her leadership has emphasized faithful worship, collaborative ministry, and the importance of listening, dialogue, and shared action in the life of the Church and the wider community.
